Google announced a new feature available in Google Webmaster Tools on 29th-oct-14 for tracking your mobile usability issues. The new report is named the Mobile Usability report and it is available at google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-usability within Google Webmaster Tools. The tool will show you common usability issues with your mobile site, so that you can fix them and improve your mobile experience for your users. The specific errors the report shows are flash content (which they issue warnings for), missing viewport meta-tag for mobile pages, tiny fonts that are hard to read on mobile, fixed-width viewports, content not sized to viewport, and clickable links/buttons too close to each other. John Mueller from Google’s Webmaster Trends Analyst team based in Zurich said they “strongly recommend you take a look at these issues in Webmaster Tools.” Why? Google Penguin 3.0 Update ready to launch A Google representative has confirmed what has been the subject of much speculation over the weekend — a Google Penguin 3.0 update was rolled out on Friday. This marks the first update to the Penguin algorithm in over a year. On October 9th at Pubcon Las Vegas, Bruce Clay stated during one of his sessions on link building that sources led him to believe that a Penguin update would be coming within the next 10 days. In an interesting turn, Indian e-commerce company Infibeam has announced launch of a new generic top level domain name dot-triple-O or .OOO. Offering a TLD for registrations is probably a first for any eCommerce company in world (as far as we know). In a press release, Infibeam has said that they have become first technology company from India to launch a generic top level domain (GTLD). the domain will be made available for corporations and general public worldwide through global channel partners with whom Infibeam has already signed Registry Registrar Agreements (RRAs).
